I can make a difference by...

I can make a difference by just being myself. It really doesn't matter what anyone else think about me the only person who matters is me. After high school its not going to matter how popular you were or how many friends you had or whether or not you had a cute boyfriend. Out in the real world no one cares about those trivial things.

So we should start now to try and make a difference by just being ourselves. Once we can come to accept who we are and how we are we can start focusing on the really important aspects of life. Its so much easier to help others when you are comfortable with yourself and who you are.

Royalty

I would like to bring to your attention a problem I believe we have here at Canyon View High school. As you may have noticed the same students always seem to get royalty at the dances. I understand the student’s right to vote but I think there should be some new guidelines to make this procedure fairer.
I have an idea I believe would make everyone happy. I don’t think the top three attendants should be eligible to win again. This would provide everyone a better chance of being voted for. This would help make the voting not just a popularity contest.
Every year I’ve been in High School it seems at least either the Prom Queen or King is either King or Queen for Homecoming royalty as well. I’m not saying the people who won didn’t deserve it, however I remember hearing that some of the students who have won more then once did not want to win again. If their names were taken out of the ballot then some other deserving person will have the opportunity to experience what they already have.
